I just did a fresh installation of Arch Linux+xfce on my netbook, but if I try to launch plank I get this error:
$ plank
(process:1366): GLib-CRITICAL (recursed) **: init_zone_from_iana_info: assertion 'size >= sizeof (struct tzhead) && memcmp (header, "TZif", 4) == 0' failed
...and plank doesn't start. I also tried with plank-bzr with the same results.
How can I solve this problem?

Very strange...
First I executed plank and I received again the same error, then I tried plank -d and plank worked. Finally I tried again with the command plank and it worked.
Apparently, the command plank -d fixed the problem D:

The "plank -d" command gave me the same output :
(process:8904): GLib-CRITICAL (recursed) **: init_zone_from_iana_info: assertion 'size >= sizeof (struct tzhead) && memcmp (header, "TZif", 4) == 0' failedAborted (core dumped)

I'm getting the same error, tried plank -d it just outputs the error, plank still doesn't work. Can we unmark this as unsolved considering there was never any solution posted?
