Since the update I did about 3 weeks ago I have had continuous freezing of both mouse and keyboard actions. These occur irregularly but consistently and are only fixed by a lot of other keyboard presses or lots of ESC. Not related to xorg or my desktop as they occur text mode also. Have tested all hardware with a Live Linux CD and all working fine.
I get these journal errors:

I'm also getting these errors on Kubuntu on my work computer. I'm using an old MacBook Pro and I know there is some hardware issue that crashed the driver in OS X. But I'm not sure if I'm getting this error because of the update, since when I left my computer running through the night and when I came to work today, the laptop was turned off. I did update the kernel to 3.16.0-25-generic #33-Ubuntu and did apt-get autoremove. But I guess this could be a kernel issue...this might be due to some short circuit on the keyboard/trackpad bus, since both keyboard and trackpad stopped working, but not the external USB keyboard or mouse.
