Xplore ix104R Wacom pen not working

I'm trying to revive an old Xplore ix104R tablet by using arch, however, the pen doesn't work.  I've installed all the drivers as suggested by the wiki, and Arch seems to detect it; dmesg | grep wacom shows that it registered the device, and xsetwacom --list devices shows

Wacom ISDv4 90 Pen stylus     id:9   type:STYLUS
Wacom ISDv4 90 Pen eraser     id:17 type:ERASER

However, touching the pen to the screen produces no results.  I really don't know where to go from here.
