[Solved] No sound in Minecraft

I cannot get the sound in Minecraft to work.

I am using openjdk7 on Arch64

I have tried:

• Running java through both padsp: padsp java -jar Minecraft.jar

• Running java through aoss: aoss java -jar Minecraft.jar

• Changing /etc/openal/alsoft.conf drivers: drivers=pulse,alsa

• Installing 32 bit drivers for: pulse, alsa and openal

Not on the changing the drivers:

/etc/openal/alsoft.conf didn't exist until I created it to add the above?

What have I missed?

I've managed to fix it by changing /etc/openal/alsoft.conf to drivers=alsa

I guess my system really doesn't like pulseaudio
