I run the tesing repo of arch, and want to use xorg modular with nvidia. Although it runs with xf86-input-nv, I'ld like to run the nvidia driver - I think this is the best if you like to have 3D Acceleration, right?
So, as many have mentioned before, I found that nvidia from testing conflicts libgl-dri, that can't be removed as it is a dependency of mesa. Some advices tend to the direction to just remove mesa and libgl-dri, some say you should'nt.
I would like to know how I should act now. I have a clean machine, just installed and set up, and don't want to march in the wrong direction.

I do not have libgl-dri and my 3D acceleration works fine. Cheers.

Hi, Annette. I have forced pacman to remove libgl-dri and ignore dependencies. It works - but I don't know it that is the way one should go. I don't know waht the xorg package becomes in the end, and how the nvidia package will finally fit to modular. Right now, I think it is a hack.

Pacman 2.9.8 handles this fine. It won't break with dependency problems anymore. I can switch between libgl-mesa and libgl-dri without getting these problems now I have pacman 2.9.8 on my system.
