Please elaborate what you mean with 'lost the wifi hardware' .

Is it listed in lscpi output ?

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

I have an image of it falling out of the computer while it is being carried around.  Check between couch cushions - check all your pockets. wink  Of course this is not likely what you mean, so please describe the actual systems and data that you have collected.

In addition to the lspci output (`lspci -vnn | grep -i net` would be great) can you also provide the output from `ip a` and describe how you previously had set up wireless including which driver you were using, and the tools used to connect.
