Large amount of dependencies missing when installing Unity?

Hello everyone, Ive been having a problem when I try to install unity following the guide on the archlinux wiki.
When I do  

pacman -S $(pacman -Slq Unity-for-Arch)

I get

That seems like way more dependencies than should be missing. I get the same thing when installing from the AUR. Any help?

I suspect that either you have removed the standard repos from your pacman.conf, or you have not updated in a long time.  Can you retry that command with "pacman -Syu unity" and report the results?

That's very odd.  Why are there progress meters next to repos it claims are already up t date?  And worse, why are they empty?  I think clfarron's advice is absolutely the way to go, but I think to do so, you'll need to share your pacman.conf.  I'm wondering if the insertion of the new repos was done in such a way that it is hindering the processing of the main repos.

EDIT: to the last post, yes, commenting them out would be sufficient - but to humor my hunch we should just look at the whole config file first.

Thanks everyone for the help! Before I had tried installing unity, I tried cinnamon but had the same problem (just a lot less missing dependencies). I added the keys into the keyring and updated and got cinnamon working so Im done trying to get unity, thanks anyways!
