Does it crash if you remove/disable the add-ons?

This is apparently a long ongoing bug, Mozilla's bugtracker has many reports about this, both in Firefox and Thunderbird. For most people it's just an annoying message, for many, however, it produces crashes.

Re: [SOLVED]firefox crash by 5 mins

I was having similar FF and Chrome crashes randomly. I tried everything and many combinations of settings/apps/etc, but nothing helped. I booted to a live CD and had the SAME crashes! I figured then it maybe HW. I tested my ram with memtest86 and sure enough TONS of errors! I RMA'd the RAM and waitng now for replacements, and HOPE this is the cause of my crashes.

I would run memtest86 on your system and make sure its not your RAM.

Re: [SOLVED]firefox crash by 5 mins

I'm having similar issues. Firefox just randomly crashes with no crash dialog or any indication of why.

Weird thing is, is that the journal log states the error is coming from thunderbird, yet firefox is what crashes.

thunderbird.desktop[1136]: console.error: reddit_res:
thunderbird.desktop[1136]: [128B blob data]
thunderbird.desktop[1136]: [1960] ###!!! ABORT: Aborting on channel error.: file /build/firefox/src/mozilla-release/ipc/glue/MessageChannel.cpp, line 1531

edit:
So it just happened again, but this time it reports as firefox. Also logged the same error mentioned above

firefox.desktop[8791]: (process:8791): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_slice_set_config: assertion 'sys_page_size == 0' failed

In my case I am using lxde, but if its HW (Hardware) I really don't think the DE matters. Its easy to test.

UPDATE: my previous crashes are 100% fixed now since replacing the RAM.

you're right, the problem is RAM, I also replaced the RAM and reinstalled arch, now everything is OK.

thank you~
