NVIDIA/Bumblebee Problem

I'm pretty new to Linux and am trying to get the optimus Nvidia card in my laptop to work.  I've followed the Arch wiki to install bumblebee with the nvidia driver and am having the following problems, here are some outputs about my system.

modprobe nvidia

modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'nvidia': No such device

modprobe -vv nvidia

modprobe: INFO: custom logging function 0x40a020 registered
insmod /lib/modules/3.15.7-1-ARCH/extramodules/nvidia.ko.gz

modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'nvidia': No such device

insmod /lib/modules/3.15.7-1-ARCH/extramodules/nvidia.ko.gz

lspci -nnvk | grep -A10 "VGA\|NVIDIA"

With regard to bumblebee I always have to start it as root, not sure if that's normal but here's what I get if I try to start it from a user prompt.

$bumblebeed

modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'bbswitch': Operation not permitted
[ 54.920917] [ERROR]Module bbswitch could not be loaded (timeout?)
[ 54.920929] [WARN]No switching method available. The dedicated card will always be on.
[ 54.921691] [ERROR]Could not set the GID of bumblebee: Operation not permitted

When I run it as root I get.

#bumblebeed

[ 93.540034] [INFO]bumblebeed 3.2.1 started

Trying.

optirun glxgears

/usr/bin/vglrun: line 241: exec: glxgears: not found

Trying to run anything with optirun it fails and I get the following errors.

Re: NVIDIA/Bumblebee Problem

So I logged out, logged in, installed mesa-demos package to get glxgears and now it works.

Optirun glxgears runs the application using the discrete card and then it switches back over to the integrated card when I close it.

I still have the above indications if I run the modprobe, insmod and lspci commands that I posted above.
