[SOLVED]Keyboard problem after boot.

I just upgraded my computer with a new motherboard, CPU, RAM and Graphicscard, and figured that a fresh Arch install was in order.
Booted with no problems the first time, and I proceeded to start setting up Xorg, and after installing the nvidia package i rebooted.
Now, every time I boot, the system stop responding to any keyboard input at all and i can't login.
It does not seem related to P/S2 support beeing made modular recently, since I use a USB keyboard, and I even tried with a P/S2 keyboard, still nothing.
The only thing that seems to work is Ctrl+Alt+Del for rebooting, but it does so without printing anything to the screen.
Any ideas?

Re: [SOLVED]Keyboard problem after boot.

Anything interesting in the logs? At what point does the system stop responding? Remove 'quiet' from the kernel command line.
Do you boot to tty or straight to X? Can you switch to another terminal when the system hangs?

Re: [SOLVED]Keyboard problem after boot.

I boot to tty, and i can't switch to any other terminal.
The system dosen't really hang since the flashing input dash keeps on flashing, but it stops responding to all keayboard input, except Ctrl+Alt+Del.
I havent gotten around to checking the logs yet, since I had to leave for work and had no time to boot up the installation CD again.

I get a UEFI boot menu first thing when i power on, and keyboard input works flawlessly there, i choose to boot my RAID-Array and my bootloader starts up, syslinux, and keyboard input works like a charm.
Next stop is arch tty login, and that is were the keyboard input stops working, except for Ctrl+Alt+Del, but as i said, nothing gets printed to screen bfore the system reboots if i do hit Ctrl+Alt+Del.
This led me to belive that the system is actally taking keyboard input but the screen is not updating as it should. but since the flashing input dash keeps on flashing i figured that's probably not the case.

Re: [SOLVED]Keyboard problem after boot.

Solved!

Since I had a feeling that the system was getting my keyboard input but not updating the screen correctly, i tried disabeling the on-board graphics and sound circuits, and that solved the preoblem!
Thanks for the help, and sorry for wasting peoples time! smile
