missing / wrong key in KDE

Hi

Ok.. I searched the web, forums but can´t  find a solution.
In KDE  there is one key which doesn´t work.

It is "´"
I get always this one "Ž"

But this only happens in KDE. in Gnome or XFCE4 everything is fine.
My Settings in KDE Control Center are ok. Ony strange thing is, that the options
with the "nodeadkeys" etc are not there.

Anyone an idea?

thanks mic64

Try
Option "XkbVariant" "nodeadkeys"

but I have this option commented and it works (KDE 3.5.1, Xorg 7).

Re: missing / wrong key in KDE

well I have this too

    Identifier "Keyboard1"
    Driver "kbd"

# For most OSs the protocol can be omitted (it defaults to "Standard").
# When using XQUEUE (only for SVR3 and SVR4, but not Solaris),
# uncomment the following line.

# Option "Protocol" "Xqueue"

    Option "AutoRepeat" "500 30"
    Option "XkbRules" "xorg"
    Option "XkbModel" "pc105"
    Option "XkbLayout" "de"
    Option "XkbVariant" "nodeadkeys"

it doesn´t matter if its there or not.

Re: missing / wrong key in KDE

KDE has it's own Xkb configuration, try disabling xkb from:
control center -> regional & accessibility -> keyboard layout -> Xkb Options -> Enable xkb options (deselect it)

Now it should use X default xkb options.

I tried Keyboard0, but then X doesn´t start anymore.
Anyone a new idea?
