Missing calibre tray icon after upgrade to 1.204.1-2

After the upgrade of Calibre to 1.204.1-2 the tray icon is missing. Sometimes there's a blank space in the tray where the icon should be which can be right-clicked to access the contextual menu, sometimes not even the blank space appears. I've tried disabling and reenabling it in the configuration, changing the theme, rebooting, to no avail. I can see nothing relevant in the logs.

Downgrading to Calibre 1.40.0-1 makes it appear again.

I'm using Xfce if it makes any difference.
