Configuration Files for Plasma 5

Hi guys,

I'm looking to reset my install of plasma 5 due to the fact that I'm getting a black screen upon login after manipulating some of the system settings.  Any idea where the configuration files are?  The following is what I was hoping for (from KDE 4 wiki page):

All KDE configuration is saved in the ~/.kde4 folder. If KDE is giving you a lot of trouble or if you ever want a fresh installation of KDE, just backup and rename this folder and restart your X session. KDE will re-create it with all the default configuration files. If you want very fine-grained control over KDE programs, you may want to edit the files in this folder.

Thank you.

Re: Configuration Files for Plasma 5

They are in ~/.config now. Unfortunately it doesn't use a dedicated subfolder, so you will have to remove the files one by one.

Re: Configuration Files for Plasma 5

Thank you very much for your help.  I tried to remove these files but to no avail.  I still get a black screen upon login to kde 5.  I assume this means none of the k components are loading, like workspace, systemsettings, etc

Re: Configuration Files for Plasma 5

Try with a clear user. If it works there, try removing al plasma relates stuff from .cache and .local

Re: Configuration Files for Plasma 5

I created a brand new user and the problem recurs.

Re: Configuration Files for Plasma 5

It was working while I was on the radeon open source driver, and I switched to catalyst to see if performance would increase, which is when this issue started.  I am now back on radeon, and it persists.

Thank you for your quick responses.
