Hi,
I've just got a question about the LXQt-AUR-packages.
I installed LXQt via the AUR. I just looked into some packages but somehow they have lower version-numbers -And the updating-date is before I installed LXQt -so nth to do with that, it seems.
Any1 know this issue? I cant think of it -but has it sth to do with yaourt?
I'ld be glad if somebody can clear this up a bit.
Thx,
Leonard

It's because they're git packages.
The PKGBUILD version won't change unless it's updated, but the version of the compiled package is dynamically created from the git tree when you build.
Take a look at the pkgver function in the PKGBUILD and have a read of https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/VC … Guidelines.

Or another option would be to use the unofficial lxqt-git repository.

I've looked into that already -but back then it was down. Additionally there are other AUR packages, though this would be a solution for making 'pacman -Qqm' to look a bit cleaner ;-).
Thx for the reply, anyway.
