First, Welcome to Arch Linux.
It appears you are running KDE.
It also appears you are using composite manager.
I assume that grey box to the right is the drop down menu
Has it ever worked?
Do other browsers have similar problems?
Do other non-KDE programs have similar issues?
What is your video hardware?
Have you tried turning of desktop effects?
Have you tried this as a different user? (NOT root)
What happens if you delete/rename/move your ~/.config/chromium directory?
Also, verify that this is Chrome, not Chromium. It looks like Chrome. The supported repositories contain Chromium. If it is Chrome, how did you install it? Also, if it is Chrome, that is fine, but I will probably move this thread to AUR issues. If it is Chrome, is there a reason you do not use Chromium? If you use Chromium, does the problem go away?

I wonder if this is related.

This is interesting:
[6836:6836:0809/200201:ERROR:extension_downloader.cc(679)] Invalid URL: '' for extension ofojbjgaaddibdfpmmjeonahgbacejid
What browser extensions are installed?
edit: Also, those walls of text are obfuscated Javascript. Not a chance of my plowing through that, but it does reiterate my concern about extensions

I think this is a fonts-related issue.
Could be. Forgive my ignorance, but what character set / alphabet do you use? Have you perhaps tried a different locale ?
Sadly, I am not multilingual and have never had to deal with alternate keyboard layouts or character sets, so I am going to be of little help.
Did you happen to check out the other thread I linked?

My locale is en_US.UTF-8
[srah@srah-pc:~]$ locale
LANG=en_US.UTF-8
LC_CTYPE="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_NUMERIC="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_TIME="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_COLLATE="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_MONETARY="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_MESSAGES="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_PAPER="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_NAME="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_ADDRESS="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_TELEPHONE="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_MEASUREMENT="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_IDENTIFICATION="en_US.UTF-8"
And referencing the other thread i installed fonts (ttf-google-fonts) that was months ago and needed for TrueType.
