Hi, I've got a problem with my computer's graphics cards.
My computer has an ATI discrete card and an Intel integrated card.
The discrete card makes the temperature stay extremely high, but I just cannot disable it completely.
$ lspci | grep VGA
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 2nd Generation Core Processor Family Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 09)
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Whistler [Radeon HD 6630M/6650M/6750M/7670M/7690M] (rev ff)I've already installed xf86-video-intel and xf86-video-ati at the same time.
And I've also tried all the methods including the manual one introduced in the Arch Wiki https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/hybrid_graphics.
Unfortunately, none of these helps.
No matter what I echo to /sys/kernel/debug/vgaswitcheroo/switch, it never changes a little bit, always DynOff.
# cat /sys/kernel/debug/vgaswitcheroo/switch
0:DIS: :DynOff:0000:01:00.0
1:IGD:+:Pwr:0000:00:02.0So, I wonder the correct and effective way to disable the discrete card completely rather than dynamic off...
Any help is appreciated.
