Re: Gnome 2.14 Release

no man, the current packages are all compiled under 2.13, i compiled the first time to switch, i cleaned 3/4 bugs and i recompiled under 2.13

anyway if u want to re-compile under 2.13, urself, get the PKGBUILDS and then automate the process

go to PKGBUILDS directory

for i in `ls`; do cd $i; makepkg -cS ; mv *.pkg.tar.gz /path/to/binaries ; cd .. ; done

sorry, not enough coffee today, I meant I'll try recompiling them under testing (don't know if you did that?)

pressh Do you remember which applets/entries u had in the Panel, today i was surprised to have the same issue after restarting (talking about the gnome-panel crashing.. already running.. and I am using current) so i undone anything changed to the system in pacman.log , didnt solve it, then i remove ~/.gconf/apps/panel directory it did work so i start adding one applet at a time and logout/login and it was Sticky notes that broke mine, Can you please try it? if u can't afford losing ur panel (because backing/restoring did not bring back my panel tweakings) u can always setup a temporary username and try with it, i'll appreciate it smile

Re: Gnome 2.14 Release

I'll reinstall and try again see if I'll have more luck now.

[edit]
Although at that time I don't believe I had sticky notes running (I only did a first start with repo gnome and quited directly), removing all applets from panel (in 2.3.90) and adding one by one indeed gives that same stupid problem when adding sticky notes. Some other applets 'force quit' 'quit' and 'run app' work as expected.
Still not managed to run those applets from error screens (taskbar, pager)
I'll try downgrading the applets package...

Re: Gnome 2.14 Release

Not working, still the applets crash (now also the mixer applet). After downgrading also gnome-panel the whole panel is crashing.

Re: Gnome 2.14 Release

the crash is coming from new perl i'm not sure what the solution would be, I'll wait Blaasvis work on it..

but i know for sure that some applets are also causing it to crash so far sticky notes is crashing it...

here are the latest packages, this is a full build of every package in deskop and platform. This repo will later be merged with testing and then it will be put into extra

Re: Gnome 2.14 Release

hi,
just tried your new repo and pacman tells me it cannot resolve dependencies for "at-spi":
"libxevie" is not in the package set
