Kernel parameter 'ro' with bfq scheduler causes nouveau not working?

I'm currently using the linux kernel with ck patch. I found something interesting: if I use 'ro' kernel parameter along with 'elevator=bfq', the nouveau driver would not work. Removing either 'ro' or 'elevator=bfq' makes things back to normal. Does anyone have a similar experience?
