configuring thermald-conf.xml

Hi,

I'm willing to reduce temperature/fan usage on my laptop, and therefore installed thermal. Though, in the zero-configuration mode, it does absolutely nothing as for reducing temperature/fan usage.

The point is, fan are triggered when the temp reaches ~41 celcius degre, and i don't think my system supports userspace fan control (i tried to setup lm_sensors for fan control according to the wiki, but only a "coretemp-isa-0000" sensor was detected and i could not get any information about fan rpm with this one. Though if you have any tip about that, i would really apreciate them)

So considering that I cannot modifie the fan's trip point, I would like to trigger thermald's passive cooling devices (RAPL, PowerClamp, P-State, anything available) before reaching the fan's trigger point. Though, i really don't understand how the thermal configuration works. So if someone could help me write a thermald.conf file that would do this job (i know it's a lot to ask), or help me to understan how the thermal devices work, I would really apreciate.

I've read already :

Thanks in advance,
