After my previous topic I have now restarted development on PHPacman (as the number of Archlinux computers in the house increases). I will be working towards generic pacman-action-wrapping for the (now downloadable) core class.
The link is http://archlinux.spider007.net/PHPacman/
I am interested in any comments or feature requests regarding the website or the application (/sourcecode). I aim to expand this application to both a web-interface for single computers; as well as a management-interface for keeping multiple computers up to date

Looks very promising, indeed.

I especially like that part

Yeah, that's good stuff.
The demo doesn't include installing/upgrading though, right? Presumably it's in the works?

Very sweet idea...once the installation/management stuff is in there, I think you've got a winner!

Thanks for the comments and positive feedback

I will be updating this thread whenever I release new features; since most of the reading-options are implemented I will be starting with the writing-options now.

That's right; I need to think of a way to put that online securely But I need to write it as well; that's right.

Hmm. I'd be interested in that, too..
Just wondering. How are you planning to do the authentication part?
Custom port, one allowed external ip and user/pass seems like the most ideal for me :-)
Your project looks very promising.

I have other plans; but I want to try it before I decide which way to go.

I was working on a centralized pacman manager for a while too. Something that would manage package upgrades/downgrades/installation on a range of distributed arch systems.
I got bored halfway through though.. nobody seemed much interested at the time.
I got the client side daemon code harness mostly done, and was working on the centralized data store last time I poked away at it.
If you are interested in any of my thoughts on the subject spider, shoot me off a pm.
