Deluge will not download magnet links

I recently installed Deluge, but it's not downloading magnet links. I check the forums and it turns out it's a known bug

However, this is from two years ago and I never had this problem on my ubuntu machine. That version of libtorrent also isn't available when I run

downgrade

. Regular .torrent file downloads work. What do I do?

Magnet links works fine for me. Can you describe the problem?

Other wise a good alternative would be Tixati.
