[Solved]No ethernet in live iso

I am booting the live archlinux-2014.09.03-dual.iso iso off a thumb drive on an acer aspire 772G-7448.

When I boot up the only ethernet device is lo.

ifconfig -a only lists lo.

In lspci I get two broadcom devices, a network controller, broadcom BCM43228 the wireless and a BCM57780 gig E.

lspci -v lists the kernel module for the wireless as bcma and the wired as tg3.

if I do ip link all I get is the loop back device.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forums, and thanks for providing all the information needed to provide a good answer.  I'd also recommend always searching the wiki, it is an amazing wealth of information, and it seems it has exactly what you need here:

Thanks so much.  I was actually on that same page but didn't find the information I was looking for until you pointed it out (How did I miss that?!)
