konsole cursor offset

Hey guys,

I just installed Arch for the first time. All is good. The only issue I have is that the konsole cursor is offset and it's really annoying.
In the first image I have the console right after I open it.
In the second image I just typed the word "command"
In the third image I typed a long command that spills over to the next line. Here the offset disappears.
In the fourth image I have moved the cursor back using the arrow keys after I typed the word "command"

Anyone knows how to get rid of that offset?
Edit: For some reason I can't show the image but here is the url

Re: konsole cursor offset

I kind of solved this by changing the font. Monospace was causing the cursor to be that fat. This is a shame because i really like Monospace much more than any other available Konsole font. If anyone knows how to get the cursor right with Monospace i'm still listening.

Re: konsole cursor offset

This may not be very useful, but I use a monospace font (DejaVu Sans Mono 11) with Konsole, and I don't see the gap between the text and the cursor as you do. I have the 'Smooth fonts' option checked in the profile I use.

Re: konsole cursor offset

Thank you berbae,

It's really weird. In 9 years of using konsole I've never seen this. I am sure it's not an Arch specific issue. I too have Smooth fonts enabled but it doesn't fix the problem.
