HT Omega Striker, No Audio

I am having no luck getting my HT Striker Omega 7.1 to work.  It's reported as a C-MEDIA 8738/8768 by lspci.   I run Cinnamon as my DE, and it is able to see the card is in the system.  I can adjust the volume using cinnamon, or with alsamixer, and no luck.  Neither show it as muted either.  If I enable my onboard sound card, that works just fine.  I've disabled the HDMI audio on my graphics card (It's actually passed through to a VM).  I've set the Striker Omega as the default card, and the only card currently listed.  I keep reading that this card is supposedly Linux friendly, but apparently mine is not.  Anyone have any suggestions?

*edit*

This is an issue caused by the intel_iommu=on kernel parameter I have to pass to use pass through with QEMU.  Turn it off, and it works.  I have to use the integrated motherboard audio as a work around.
