Segfault on random programs

Hi all
I have installed Arch Linux on a CCE notebook.
For some reason, I have segfault on vlc, gedit, gnome-disks but not in firefox, gnome-shell and others...

How can I debug it?

Re: Segfault on random programs

Could you run these programs from terminal and post the output?

Re: Segfault on random programs

Run memtest86 on the machine. Bad RAM can cause all kinds of odd and obscure errors, including random segfaults. It's not likely to be the cause of your problem, but it's worth checking.

I will run memtest86
@nstgc, terminal show only segfault.
Probably it's RAM.

Re: Segfault on random programs

If RAM turns out to be okay, try running MPrime as well (*nix version of Prime95).
