[solved]Help me getting steam working please.

I'm new to linux and arch in general. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could solve the issue. Sometimes a man needs a fix of portal 2 .. cool

Most likely, the application was supposed to call dbus_connection_close(), since this is a private connection.

Re: [solved]Help me getting steam working please.

When you see lines like this

libGL error: dlopen /usr/lib32/xorg/modules/dri/swrast_dri.so failed (/home/storm/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/i386/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.20' not found (required by /usr/lib32/libLLVM-3.5.so))

Steam tries to use it's included file which won't work. You need to rename or remove this file so steam can't find it. This happens with source engine games I've noticed. By moving it file you force steam to use Arch's version which will work.

So the file you want to move is /home/storm/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/i386/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6

From the directory I just moved it with `mv libstdc++.so.6 libstdc++.so.6.fix`

Have fun. This took me so long to figure out when I was dealing with it.

Okay, So it was fixed but now portal 2 won't open any ideas on what i need to do ? I think i might have installed he wrong graphics card drivers.  My laptop is a lenovo g50 and i have AMD Radeon R4... Are there anyways to check what grapical drives I have ? Also whats the command for opening portal 2 that might allow me to get the errors.

Re: [solved]Help me getting steam working please.

To check the errors when portal launches, launch steam from the command line then try to launch portal 2 using the gui. Then you can see the errors on the terminal.
