Hello everyone ! I'm coming here because I'm unable to solve a bug with my new ArchLinux install on my HP EliteBook G1
On boot, when the first sound come, the system is frozen and I have to go to a TTY and come back juste ater to X to unfreeze it, when it comes back to X, sound is working.
Here is the dmesg just after that bug

Fixed thanks to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour … ug/1310260
Add
options snd-hda-intel enable=0,1,0
in my /etc/modprobe.d
Offline
This bug was causing some very strange behaviour on my machine (HP ZBook 14, kernel: 4.0.4-2-ARCH). Steam would not load (hang), lspci would hang, the computer would not properly reboot, and 1/5 times it would boot up with a snd_hda_intel error.
Creating the file /etc/modprobe.d/my-alsa.conf and adding the line:
options snd-hda-intel enable=0,1,0
fixed the issue.
I'm not sure if this breaks sound over the display port. If I ever test that I'll post it back here.
