The Arch Way = FOCUS?

Just noticed that we could say Arch likes to FOCUS on the following 5 principles:

1) Freedom
2) Openness
3) Code-correctness over convenience
4) User-centric
5) Simplicity

Then we have a nice acronym for it smile Just a thought

The trouble is, in reality this isn't the case. 1, 4, 5 were (amongst other reasons) ruled out when systemd took over.

Currently 136 packages require systemd. If the answer is "you can recompile anything you want", then it's not the "Arch way" it's more like the "Linux/OSS way", as the same can be said for most/all distros

I had a scroll through my previous posts. The most recent mention of Arch packaging, or systemd criticism I can see is from 2014-06-26.
