[SOLVED]No backlight control since update

I did an update to fix the bash bug error thingy and since have no control over backlight. It's always on minimun no matter what.

I've tried adding the kernal parameters etc from the wiki but nothing seems to fix it. Any ideas?

FIXED: Where it says to set ....=1 on the kernal boot parameters, setting it instead to 0 works.
