I've got a HP Elitebook 840 with an ATI and a Intel HD4000 so, I tried to disable the discrete card thanks to the Wiki

And when I follow that it doesn't change anything :
To verify the state of the dgpu

# cat /sys/kernel/debug/vgaswitcheroo/switch

Power off the dgpu

# echo OFF > /sys/kernel/debug/vgaswitcheroo/switch

Power on

# echo ON > /sys/kernel/debug/vgaswitcheroo/switch

Could you help me please ? Thanks !

Re: Emacs, Conky (and maybe others) make stop X

I tried to launch with nomodeset but it doesn't want to launch the X server.
I may have missed a package right ? It's strange !

Re: Emacs, Conky (and maybe others) make stop X

Fixed by adding these lines to /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d

Section "Device"
   Identifier "Intel Graphics"
   Driver "intel"
   Option "NoAccel" "True"
EndSection

Thanks to https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/in … tel_driver
The problem is that it brings some lags when scrolling website, there are no others workaround ? May I report a bug ? Thanks
