dhcpcd, dhclient or static ip not working

Hello everyone,
I am trying to install arch linux, however, when i boot with install disk I am unable to connect to the internet.  So I set static ip still can't ping default gateway let alone outside the LAN. I also ran dhcpcd and dhclient they keep timing out before obtaining an ip lease.

The kernel module for my network loads fine.  I have a intel gigabit NIC.  The module that's being loaded is e1000e.  I was reading people in the past having issues with that module but, nothing recent.  Please let me know how I can troubleshoot my issue Thanks.

Some details of your logging system, may track down where's the failure.
