Key Bindings: execute script with Joystick

Hello to all!

I'm new to Arch Linux and I really like this Disto.
I've installed base Arch Linux with LXDE (based lxdm).
I've transformed an old cabinet into an arcade emulation station. So, I've attached two USB Joysticks:

DragonRise Inc. USB Generic Joystick.

I would like to map some buttons to a script to allow me execute some applications directly from the Joystick buttons.

How can I do that?

Thanks a lot for the suggestions and help!

Simon
