i8kmon on Dell Latitude E7240

Hi everyone!

I installed i8kutils utility to control FAN:
  * added i8k module to MODULES const in  /etc/mkinitcpio.conf
  * specified option `options i8k force=1` in /etc/modprobe.d/options
  * added config in /etc/i8kmon.conf with following rules

         set config(0)   {{-1 0}  -1  60  -1  65}
         set config(1)   {{-1 1}  50  70  55  75}
         set config(2)   {{-1 2}  60  80  65  85}
         set config(3)   {{-1 2}  70 128  75 128}

But command `i8kctl fan -1 0` takes effect only for a second. Any ideas why it's happening?

Thanks in advance.

Re: i8kmon on Dell Latitude E7240

Which version of i8kutils?
Why are you having to force=1? If your laptop is not supported... maybe that is the problem tongue
Does the E7240 use the standard multiplier for fan RPM?
What does /proc/i8k say? (before, during, after trying to change the speed)
