UK keyboard layout problem after gnome update

After the gnome update yesterday some keys like #@|~ are incorrectly mapped on UK layout.

What procedure should I follow to analyse/rectify.

Thanks

Re: UK keyboard layout problem after gnome update

Just in case for others. setxkbmap GB for the session and then  read this https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/X_ … ard_layout as I was advised on IRC :-)

Re: UK keyboard layout problem after gnome update

XKB was updated recently, so this might not be a GNOME problem. Check that the active keyboard is in fact “English (UK)”. If it is, check out /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/gb, and see whether the symbols have been overridden properly (from their US values). You should be able to recognise

    key <AE02>  { [         2,   quotedbl,  twosuperior,    oneeighth ] };
    key <AE03>  { [         3,   sterling, threesuperior,    sterling ] };
    key <AE04>  { [         4,     dollar,     EuroSign,   onequarter ] };

(amongst other things) in the first block.
