[Solved] Gnome 3.14 and Firefox

Hi everyone,

I recently updated to gnome 3.14 and I'm having a lot of freezes with Firefox.
It usually happens when I bring the focus back from another application to Firefox. Firefox then just hangs and I'm forced to kill it.

I disabled the htitle extension that I usually use.

Anyone ran into the same issue ? Anyone found a solution ?

Thanks !

Re: [Solved] Gnome 3.14 and Firefox

Hi,

I have the same issue but no solution. The freezes started immediately after the upgrade to Gnome 3.14 and a reboot.

Best regards.

Edit: It seems that removing /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libevbrowserplugin.so has solved the problem (suggested here).

This has also solved the problem for me. (In my case, I somewhat more safely renamed it to `libevbrowserplugin.so.bkp` "just in case".)

Along with a simple `killall firefox` afterwards to get rid of lingering instances and it's working without a hitch.
