Download Archlinux Repo

Hi guys... sory for my noob question. I'm a mac user, but I need to download the archlinux repo because my team and I are going to use it in some place where we'll not have internet connection.

I've download the GRsync for mac, because one year ago I was an arch user and I know that with rsync I can download the repo..

can somebody give me the rsync command line to make a mirror from some repo ??

best regards guys

Re: Download Archlinux Repo

It took me about 20 seconds to learn how to make a local Arch Linux mirror by searching for it on Google. hmm

But it sounds like a terrible idea. Arch Linux was designed to be used with an Internet connection. Why wouldn't you use a distribution that was designed for offline use, like a Debian release?

Well, if you just take a snapshot of the  current state of the repository you're losing the advantage of having libraries always updated, aren't you?

Yes, but you would need to tell that to the rest of his team.

Re: Download Archlinux Repo

Cloning an entire repo to take with you seems unnecessary, I suggest you and your team sit down and figure out what packages it is you need with you. Then, roll your own archiso with these packages.

Re: Download Archlinux Repo

I've used rsync to clone only the repos I need such as core, extra, etc, download only x86_64 packages and limit the size of downloading packages (e.g. less than 150MB).
