Xf86 EnableIOPorts: Failed to set IOPO for I/O

Xf86 EnableIOPorts: Failed to set IOPO for I/O (operation not permitted)

A couple of days ago I installed arch linux and managed to get X up and running... today after ruining my system (LOL) and reinstalling... I got some dependency issues with the amd drivers about xorg being < 1.16.0 or something like that. ... When I tried to install xorgit gave me 6 sources to choose from.
I chose the extra/mesa-libgl (I Think it was that). After that I managed to install the drivers with xorg 1.16.0 (I guess) for as long as I am root, this works. When I try to startx from a user called 'deus' it gives me the error above. I've searched the net, many had that problem over the years, no clear solution to the problem tho. Any ideas?

I have acpi/capid installed, my user is in the audio/video groups. In the xorg log file... there's isn't anything else indicating something else going wrong.

Also I'm thinking ... if there's a posibility that the video group didn't get set correctly? Or the files that should be assigned to it are not assigned to it?

Please help smile
