pacman's [Enter] key can not use under zsh

I change the shell from bash to zsh.
Just install grml-zsh-config & zsh packages.

But, I found I can not press [Enter] when *pacman* ask questions.
The workable Solution: press 'Ctrl-J' instead of [Enter].

Is there any other better solution?
Or, it is a bug of zsh?

About my terminal, I use lilyterm, there are two situation for TERM variable:
* outside tmux: TERM=xterm
* inside tmux: TERM=screen

Works for me.

What happens when you press Enter? What is in your .zshrc?

Not a Pacman issue, moving to NC...

Re: pacman's [Enter] key can not use under zsh

Works for me too.

By any chance, did you Ctrl-c a running yaourt? For some reason, I'm still not quite sure, if I Ctrl-c at some point of execution in the yaourt script, my "Enter" key does not work for pacman. But I can fix it by just closing and opening another zsh. But as jasonwryan said, it could also be an misconfiguration in your .zshrc.

Re: pacman's [Enter] key can not use under zsh

I actually had this happen to me a couple months ago.  Unfortunately, I never solved it because I decomissioned the server when I got new hardware. sad

Sorry I don't have an answer.  I just want you to know that you're probably not alone.  But reboots did not seem to help, and even starting with 'zsh --no-rcs' didn't seem to help either (which effectively starts a vanilla zsh).

Re: pacman's [Enter] key can not use under zsh

If that problem is caused by 'yaourt' ctrl-c, is there other command could recover the situation?
I've tried 'reset', but it can't work.
Maybe there is more simple method then re-launch zsh or re-login.

Re: pacman's [Enter] key can not use under zsh

A friend of mine has had this problem as well, exclusively with yaourt. He says that it happens when he is compiling lots of packages one after the other in one terminal session. When this happens, he presses Ctrl+Enter, which then behaves as the enter key.

Closing the terminal session and starting a fresh one solves his problem.
