Is my video card finally fried?

I was on Windows playing League of Legends, and all of a sudden had a kernel panic. On a restart, Windows said "Windows has disabled this device because it reported problems. (Code 34)"

So I rebooted into Arch, Xorg won't start.

journalctl -xn

kernel: NVRM: RmInitAdapter failed! (0x26:0xffffffff:1215)
kernel: NVRM: rm_init_adapter failed for device bearing minor number 0
kernel: NVRM: nvidia_frontend_open: minor 0, module->open() failed, error -5

Fan has a lot of accumulated dust on it, so I wonder if I just destroyed the chip... hmm

I should mention that I have the latest nvidia package, and I did not upgrade the package or change any configuration since this morning, when my shit was working...

Re: Is my video card finally fried?

I'm not sure about how to test these things, but I guess if you can't find any operating system that will work with your video card then there's a good possibility your video is broken. hmm I always say, the major operating systems these days are very stable, so if you ever see a kernel panic then that means there's either a driver problem or a hardware problem.

How are you seeing the output? Does TTY output work but not X output?
