BCM4312 does not work after last kernel upgrade

Hello
On the 30th of octobre I upgrade my distro with the brand new kernel (3.17 something) and my wifi card

$ lspci -vnn -d 14e4:
08:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Broadcom Corporation BCM4312 802.11b/g LP-PHY [14e4:4315] (rev 01)

did not show up anymore. As if the interface has disappeared. I tried to find from where it could come from. First at boot
I got a message: b43-phy0 couldn't find the firmware, which was under /lib/firmware. I reinstalled them. No luck...

Finally I stumbled upon this thread: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=183114

I downgraded my kernel (and the virtualbox-modules...) and it works anew.

So if you plan an upgrade and got a b43 netchip be warned wink

Re: BCM4312 does not work after last kernel upgrade

The chipset is working for me with both the 3.17.1 and 3.17.2 kernels. Would you happen to be using any self compiled modules?
