hello,
i was playing around with some live CDs and after a crash, i always had to wait several minutes after booting until i was able to use the mouse. this occured in arch (lts and current version) and also in the livecds. any ideas where to begin with?
greets lizzy

What kind of mouse is?
I agree for a bluetooth mouse and some time a computer of mine is waiting to boot the kernel while I've a USB mouse plugged.
do it good first, it will be faster than do it twice the saint ![]()

Laptop or desktop ?
You might try to plug when the system is completely up and running.

Have you tried disabling usb autosuspend? It could cause issues with some devices, and I think it's also enabled by default at least on some systems.
Try adding
usbcore.autosuspend=-1to the kernel's boot command line. It should disable autosuspend for all usb devices altogether.

What happens with other USB devices, particularly other mice?

yeah, it seems like my usb-port is a little bit damaged. changing to another slot solved the problem. thanks everyone!
