As the subject says...
How do I install this printer? I went to localhost:631 and was able to add the printer but I cannot print from it. I selected driver HL-2460 because there was no driver for HL-L2340DW. I noticed an rpm and deb package on the linux driver section of the support page for this printer. Do I need to extract the driver from that somehow? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

There's way to handle rpm by rmpunpack in AUR or see similar packages
do it good first, it will be faster than do it twice the saint

Thanks TheSaint. After I posted this I did some searching and found this...
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Brother_HL-2270DW
The Brother HL-2270DW is the predecessor to the HL-L2340DW so I figured that I'd give those drivers a try. I can verify that the instructions work for the HL-L2340DW. The margins were out of alignment but the instructions for fixing that are in the troubleshooting section. Now my printer works perfectly. The HL-L2340DW seems to be Arch Linux friendly .

Thank you, this post helped. Since I already had cups set up, installing HL-2270DW drivers from the AUR and adding the printer from the CUPS web interface.

I created an AUR package with driver for this printer - https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/brother-hll2340dw/ . PKGBUILD is modified version of this https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/brother-brgenml1/ , but downloading a different driver.
