amazon prime in chrome

I cannot play amazon prime in Chrome. I installed hal as instructed in the wiki here and ran the service. However I do have ~/.adobe directory to remove the cache files. Has anyone ran into this issue before?

Re: amazon prime in chrome

Unless something changed very recently that I'm unaware of, I think that you may be kind of out of luck. Amazon requires the drm enabled version of flash to work. Chrome/Chromium no longer supports the interface that the old flash requires and the version built in Chrome doesn't have drm capabilities. I use Firefox for Amazon for now.

**EDIT**

I believe that I read somewhere here that it's possible to get the old flash working in chromium again, but it's punches a major hole in the security of the browser. It's not worth it in my opinion.

Re: amazon prime in chrome

I thought so. I had the same experience in Ubuntu just did not know why. Thanks!
