GopenVPN Error: "Error Launching OpenVPN subprocess" polkit error?

I was able to use GopenVPN without problem until recently.  Now whenever I try to connect to a server I get the error:

"Error Launching OpenVPN subprocess"

So I tried launching GopenVPN through terminal.  It launches fine, but when I try to connect I get this output:

==== AUTHENTICATING FOR org.freedesktop.policykit.exec ===
Authentication is needed to run `/usr/bin/openvpn' as the super user
Authenticating as: user
Password:

Now, I can put in my password and authenticate from here and everything works.  So the problem with be with polkit then?  Polkit is installed as is gnome-keyring, but for some reason Gopenvpn no longer prompts me for authentication. So I have two questions.

I am using XFCE4.

1. How do I fix the lack of authentication polling?

2. How can I make it so that I do not have to authenticate every time I want to connect? (I would like to set this open so it automatically connects on boot).

Thanks!
