Hi,
since upgrading linux-ck from 3.17.3-1 to .4-1, xserver doesn't start anymore because it can't load the nvidia module.
Downgrading solves this issue, no problems like this with the stock kernel…
I tried adding nvidia to initramfs, didn't help either.
Any ideas how to resolve this? Or Is this just a sit-and-wait-bug?

What does it say when you try to load the module with modprobe?
Online
It says:
modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'nvidia': invalid argument
Here the according X-log:
[ 60.383] (EE) NVIDIA: Failed to initialize the NVIDIA kernel module. Please see the
[ 60.383] (EE) NVIDIA: system's kernel log for additional error messages and
[ 60.383] (EE) NVIDIA: consult the NVIDIA README for details.
[ 60.383] (EE) No devices detected.
As said before, with 3.17.3-1ck, everything was fine…

Very possible the module just needs rebuilt. What version of the package do you have?

Do you mean the nvidia-ck package? pacman tells me it's 343.22-5.

Yep, you're out of date. Current is 343.22-6.

Oh, thanks, obviously some processor families didn't get an update yet?
% pacman -Ss nvidia-ck | grep 343.22-5
repo-ck/nvidia-ck-bulldozer 343.22-5 (ck-bulldozer) [Installed]
repo-ck/nvidia-ck-piledriver 343.22-5 (ck-piledriver)

This is entirely my fault. i made a change to my build script which excluded certain arches from the update. I believe it's fixed now. Rebuilding and will populate repo-ck shortly. Sorry for the inconvenience.
