The last grep is unsuccessful because probably is in $HOME/$USER/.local/share/xorg/Xorg.0.log, as long as you've started X.
For such case try to switch to another TTY (CTRL+ALT+F[2-6]) and launch
top %CPU
Press Q to stop.
Then see what is taking the most CPU load. I doubt the computer could be responsive to allow the keyboard use.
Try also after resume
# journalctl --since=today |grep -iE '.*(power|acpi|suspend).*' > /to/file/hosting/pls/and/post/the/url
do it good first, it will be faster than do it twice the saint

sudo top %CPU
top: unknown option '%'
Usage:
top -hv | -bcHiOSs -d secs -n max -u|U user -p pid(s) -o field -w [cols]
[r-c@rc-laptop ~]$ journalctl --since=today |grep -iE '.*(power|acpi|suspend).*' > /to/file/hosting/pls/and/post/the/url

updated to kernel 3.17.4-1 problem remains
after downgrade to 3.17.2.-1 suspend works again unfortunatly can not get around virtualbox vboxdrv module which can not be activated any longer
virtualbox is more important to me then suspend so I life with 3.17.4.-1 for the moment.

to set a kernel parameter helped for me:
just added "dis_ucode_ldr"
sudo nano /etc/default/grub
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="resume=/dev/disk/by-uuid/d856dd64-8336-405b-84ef-b7b5ff7eb63c dis_ucode_ldr"
then:
sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg

upgrading of kernel solved it...
