LightDM authentication

Despite I have followed the related Wiki page, it's not authenticating my working user (!= root).
SSH access is working, but not LightDM.
Any hint?

Are you starting LightDM in a SSH session ?
I'm using some time remote access via wireless, but for graphic interface I prefer VNC and KRDC (I've KDE). Any graphic program called by SSH are sluggish.

Nope.
I enabled lightdm at boot. I am using SSH from my main machine through the lan just to install/configure stuff.
Can you log in with LightDM and your normal user credentials?

Sorry, I'm using different DM. But for some cause the problem are common.
I suppose you're facing authentication issues.
Have you tried to start the X session by startx?
Do you have LightDM log ?

Oh yeah, the login is case sensitive.
