[SOLVED]Can't adjust volume in ALSA with USB headset

I can't lower or increase volume in ALSA with my Plantronics Gamecom 780 headset because there doesn't seem to be a volume slider for playback. Here is a screenshot of alsamixer http://en.zimagez.com/zimage/alsaplantronics.php Audio playback works fine, only issue is I can't adjust volume.

Re: [SOLVED]Can't adjust volume in ALSA with USB headset

Because I couldn't find a way to adjust playback volume from ALSA, I decided to use Pulseaudio configured to use an ALSA source. I am not marking this post as [SOLVED] because the original problem still isn't solved.

Re: [SOLVED]Can't adjust volume in ALSA with USB headset

but its the only solution. most usb soundcards dont have a hardware mixer. So you need to use software volume.
Either with pulseaudio, or with alsa: http://alsa.opensrc.org/How_to_use_soft … ter_volume
