I noticed that in Counter Strike Global Offensive there is a small audio delay of the sounds. I disabled pulseaudio and tested it only with alsa and the difference is evident. There is a small but noticable delay in the sounds (for example when firing a gun) with pulseaudio somewhere in the 100 to 200ms.
It originally had a much longer delay, but I have followed the wiki troubleshooting guide (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pu … aggy_sound) and that lowered the delay significantly but not totally.
Is there something I can do to completely eliminate any delay with pulseaudio and csgo? Or if there is not, then is there a way to run csgo without pulseaudio even though pulseaudio is being used by the system and it's running?

Is it only with cs go game or in general pulseaudio delay?
For now, if nobody else is going to help you, give a try to pulseaudio-git. Sometimes packages from git helps - give a try

You could use pasuspender to suspend pulseaudio.
