Can not eject a cd/dvd after booting to ISO

I understand that when booting on a cd/dvd that the os locks the door. I did find this post https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=116640. I do not think it is the same thing, except for the comment about his wife.

On #archlinux on Freenode the point is met with apathy, with responses such as: "this is not how to use a computer". Well I disagree. Aside form having a wife who complains that DVDs 'do not always work properly'

The only way I can get the door working is by a complete power off/on. I am using a Lenovo TS140.

So is this expected behavior?

Re: Can not eject a cd/dvd after booting to ISO

If you boot fully to RAM you should be able to eject the disc. Some isos offer 'lowram' boot option which loads only a portion of the data into memory and then use the CD/DVD as needed. You won't be able to eject the disc using the 'lowram' option.

Are you talking about any particular iso?
